Fleet Week 2016
10/07/2016
The ships have landed and our women and men in the armed service have officially touched ground for San Francisco's Fleet Week 2016! While the Blue Angels are always the stars of the festivities, this year's event will feature water shows, art exhibits, warship tours and meet and greets with the K-9 heroes that keep our country safe. There is certainly something for everyone!

The Golden Gate Bridge will be closed to motorized traffic this weekend, so what better time to Bike the Bridge?! The sidewalk will remain open to bicyclists while the roadway closes for installation of a movable barrier. Come see the engineering feat – and of course, the amazing Bridge! – up close from your bicycle seat.

Fleet Week returns to San Francisco in 2014, bigger and better than ever! From the Blue Angels to the Humanitarian Village and Parade of Ships, there’s plenty of action happening around Fisherman’s Wharf, Fort Mason, Crissy Field, and all the way out to Fort Point under the Golden Gate Bridge. The best way to get the most out of this tradition is to rent a bike and cruise along the waterfront!

Oh, September in San Francisco, we welcome you with open arms! Sunny skies, smaller crowds and still plenty of daylight hours to enjoy our beautiful city by bicycle truly make this the best season in the city by the bay. One of our favorite bike routes in San Francisco is the short ride between the Two Forts. Which two Forts, you ask? Fort Mason and Fort Point, of course!
