A new look for BlazingSaddles.Com, and much more!

Photo shoots, RocketBoat, and volunteer work, oh my! It’s been an exciting couple of weeks for Blazing Saddles. Last week we took some of our highly photogenic employees and bikes out to take part in a photo shoot at some of San Francisco’s most popular spots. We cruised by the Ferry Building, said hello to the SF Giants at AT&T Park, fell in love at Cupid’s Arrow, and biked under the Bay Bridge for some great shots of our custom-designed Blazer bikes in action! We’re looking forward to adding these to our website and promotional materials over the next few weeks, but here’s a sneak peek of our favorites:

On Tuesday June 10th, we celebrated the start of our summer season in style! An unforgettable ride on the RocketBoat kicked things off for the evening – an absolute must-do for locals and visitors to San Francisco alike, and something many of us were excited to tick off the bucket list.

We waved to the Pier 39 sea lions on the way out of port, and then it was time to crank up the knots! With sweeping views of the San Francisco skyline, Alcatraz Island, Marin County and the Port of Oakland zooming by at face-melting speed, the RocketBoat was a thrill! We loved the exhilarating ride around the Bay Bridge pylons and making waves across the bay – thirty minutes wasn’t long enough, but the cold winds made us more than ready to head back to the dock! A big thanks has to go out to the wonderful crew at Blue & Gold Fleet for a great time out on the bay.

Those of us over the age of 21 adjourned to the nearby Gold Dust Lounge, a Union Square transplant just one year old in its new Fisherman’s Wharf home. The spirit of the original Gold Dust (opened on Powell Street in 1933) lives on in the new location, and on any given night you’ll find a colorful crowd sipping on Irish coffee and foot-tapping to the live band in the beautifully renovated space.

Fighting the good fight against sore heads the next morning, a group of dedicated employees headed out to the Marin Headlands to participate in our National Parks Conservancy volunteer cleanup program. This was the second time we had the opportunity to help park rangers clear brush and debris from the trails, and was just as fun and rewarding as the first time. Our employees love a challenge, and we’re always up for getting our hands dirty in the sunshine!

Our days have been getting crazier as the morning fog starts to roll across the bay, and we’re anticipating our busiest season yet in San Francisco! Our sensational staff are ready to make your bike ride across the Golden Gate Bridge the highlight of your trip to the Bay Area. Make sure to check back in with our blog regularly for fun stories, staff profiles, special deals, and much more. Bike the Bridge!

Welcome to our new website!
